One day I strolled into the school gates wearing my mufti ready to hit the road to the beach. I was prepared with sunscreen and a big lunch for the day and a water bottle, a towel and my bag.
Just before the bell had rang I went to my friends and asked their parents had signed the form for them to go kayaking, I was glad because all my friends had them. Drrr!!!!!! as the bell rang for everybody to go inside and do the roll. Room 6 came into our class to do the roll because Miss Kirkpatrick and Miss Nichols were getting ready for the year 7 and year 8 people that were going kayaking.
When the roll was finished Kapri and I ran for the back seats but the year 8 girls had already taken them. There was some people getting gorgeous photos taken. When we reached our destination we saw some of the teachers, making a volleyball net out of the badminton net.
Mr.Johnston was calling out what time the classes would hop in the water. The juniors were first up at swimming. I felt sorry for them because the water seemed very cold, colder, than Antarctica!
While we were having our morning tea I saw the kayaks lined up on the shore ready for group A to have some practice. Mr Johnston made it clear that we knew the rules inside and out. Finally it was my groups turn to go kayaking. I was so excited because it was going to be my first time kayaking in the sea. We learnt loads about kayaking. I even learnt to walk over the Kayaks without falling in the sea! When it was over it was time to have a break and eat our lunch. Crunch!!!! as I ate a salad sandwich yum. When we finished we all played some cricket, volleyball and soccer it was very cool.
